Q: What are the "tabs" for that came with the SmartMedia Card ?
A: Usually SmartMedia cards should be delivered with a title label, which is folded and stuck to the profile at the bottom of the SmartMedia card. The circular tabs are used to stop accidental erasure/overwriting of the card (similar to the switch found on a floppy disk). On the front of the Smartmedia card is a circular indentation. Apply a tab to the centre of this indentation if you want to write protect the card. Simply remove the tab if you need to write to the card again.

 Q: Is the card 3.3V ?
A: Yes. all our SmartMedia cards are 3.3V.

Q: What does "ID" mean ?
A: The "ID" fuction is used for protection of data, normally MP3 files. It is used to stop copying of copyright data. All current SmartMedia cards from 16MB to 128MB are "ID" compliant. For most uses such as taking images with Digital Cameras the "ID" fuction is not used. MP3 players will normally require SmartMedia with the "ID" function
